Video Processing Fees
Effective May 4, 2026, the Westerville Division of Police will assess a fee of $75 per "real time" hour of video requested. This fee is the cost associated with reviewing, blurring, redacting, uploading, and producing the video records (R.C. 149.43(B)(1)).
Video Fee Exemptions: If you are the named victim, legal counsel for the named victim, or the insurer of a party involved in an incident and would like to request an exemption to video fees under R.C. 149.43(B)(11), please complete and submit the completed form with your public records request. Fees will be assessed unless a notarized form is submitted to Records.
At this time, acceptable forms of payment are cash, money order or cashier's check made payable to the City of Westerville.

Solicitation Permits
Apply for a PermitThe Records section is the primary support unit of the Westerville Division of Police. Records technicians provide assistance not only to Division personnel, but to the public as well. Duties include disseminating reports, record checks, bike registrations, medication disposal, impound releases, expedite non-emergency calls, assisting visitors, and processing evidence.
The Records section also provides copies of police reports to the public. The first 20 pages are free; each additional page is 5 cents. Please contact (614) 901-6450 with any questions.
Fingerprinting:
The Westerville Division of Police offers fingerprinting services to people who live or work within the Westerville Police jurisdiction, or those who attend Otterbein University. A photo I.D. is required to process any requests.
Bicycle Registration
- Residents should register their bicycles with the Westerville Division of Police. Bicycle registration is FREE and can be completed in-person or by clicking here.
