Westerville residents may now register their contact information and preferences via a new website portal for the Westerville Notify system. This system will be used by our Communications Division to provide emergency notifications that are commonly known as the “reverse 9-1-1” system.  Residents can also select preferences to receive community updates and events.  This site lets residents self-select notifications they want to receive and also the ability to update their personal contact information as needed.

Residents can securely register their mobile phone number, activate text messaging capabilities, emails and assign their home address for local/neighborhood preferences to receive community updates and emergency notifications.

When this system is used by our Communications Division, it is based on true emergencies, such as public safety information and/or notifications pertaining to at-risk missing individuals or public service alerts for water boils.  Content is provided by voice message or text, depending on the preferences you select during registration. Subscribers’ information will not be utilized or accessed for any other purpose.

PLEASE NOTE: Notifications will be sent in real-time as emergencies occur.  Subscribers may receive notifications (via call or text message) at any time of day or night.

People who work in Westerville but do not live in the city or parents who have children in the Westerville City School District may also use the system.
