Safety City is designed to teach students entering Kindergarten about a variety of safety issues. Each participant learns basic rules of traffic/pedestrian safety, fire prevention, school bus safety, poison prevention, animal safety, gun safety, water safety, stranger awareness. and reporting emergencies. The highlight of the program is "Safety Town" which allows students an opportunity to practice their skills on miniature streets; complete with buildings, sidewalks, signs, and stoplights.
