Drug Take Back Box

The Westerville Division of Police (WPD) empowers residents to help combat potential prescription medication misuse and abuse by reducing access to medications when they are expired or no longer needed. *The drop off box has been moved to the lobby of the Westerville Justice Center on Huber Village Blvd.* The box will be accessible from the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Those who wish to dispose of approved medications may do so free of charge, without filling out any forms. This service is intended for residents. WPD is not able to accommodate medication drop offs from businesses. Please first reference the list below of acceptable items before using this service.

Over The Counter Medication

Please do NOT place the following items in the WPD medication disposal box. Consult the packaging or manufacturer for proper disposal methods.

PLEASE NOTE: Most over-the-counter (OTC) medications can be disposed of at home. Learn how and where to dispose of OTC medications from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
