Welcome to the Westerville Police Department Citizens Online Police Reporting System. If this is an emergency, please call 911.

This online system allows you to report certain incidents immediately using your computer, tablet or smart device, and print a copy of your report for free. You can report incidents including, but not limited to: Custody Order Violation, Lost Property, Traffic Complaint, Identity Theft, and Minor Traffic Accidents.

DID YOU KNOW? A Coplogic reporting kiosk is now available in the lobby of the Justice Center at 229 Huber Village Blvd! It's another option for filing or requesting a report if you find yourself without access to the internet or simply prefer to visit the station. Look for the desk and monitor. Instructions for how to use the service are also available at the kiosk. 

Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:

  • This is not an emergency

  • The incident occurred within the Westerville Police Department city limits. Access the Westerville City Limits map. 

  • There are no known suspects

  • No one was injured in the incident I am reporting

If all of the above are true, you are ready to file a report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. If you were not able to confirm all pre-reporting assessment criteria above, please call (614) 882-7444 to request to speak to an officer.

Upon completion of this report process you will:

  • See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.

  • Be given a police report case number.

  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

  • All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.

  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.

  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
